MAI I TE ARATOI O WHAKATŪ THE SUTER COLLECTION
Seen Anew is an extended exhibition that brings together works from Te Aratoi o Whakatū The Suter Collection in fresh ways, inviting visitors to discover stimulating connections and contrasts through themes, colours, materials and other approaches. Some works are given more space, but their tentacles of meaning reach towards others in the room. Alongside well-known artworks, Seen Anew celebrates recent acquisitions and less familiar works. The collection holds around 1,600 artworks built through gifts, purchases and bequests. It reflects over 260 years of changing artistic practices and cultural perspectives
