Each year, the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) brings together a selection of the country’s most accomplished secondary school art portfolios in Top Art, a touring exhibition celebrating excellence in NCEA Level 3 Visual Art.
The exhibition offers a unique opportunity for students and educators to see firsthand the standard of work required to achieve Excellence and Scholarship. It also provides valuable insight into creative processes and approaches across a range of disciplines.
For the wider community, Top Art is a chance to experience the depth of talent emerging from New Zealand schools, highlighting the creativity and skill of young artists from across the country.
Top Art 2026 will be on view at The Suter Art Gallery Te Aratoi o Whakatū from 6–13 May 2026.
