Are you passionate about art and love engaging with people? The Suter Art Gallery Te Aratoi o Whakatū is looking for a Visitor Host to join our team.

Position: Visitor Host
Contract: Permanent Part-time
Hours: 16 hours per week (2 Days)
Location: The Suter Art Gallery Te Aratoi o Whakatū, Whakatū/Nelson

What you’ll do:

• Welcome visitors and provide a warm, engaging gallery experience

• Communicate enthusiastically about current exhibitions and artworks

• Assist with general visitor inquiries and gallery operations

• Support retail and ticket sales as needed

 What we’re looking for:

• A love of people and great communication skills

• Enthusiasm for the visual arts (knowledge is a plus!)

• A friendly, professional, and proactive approach

• Te Reo Māori is an advantage but not essential

• A Duty Manager’s Certificate is helpful, but if you don’t have one, we’re happy to cover the costs of getting it.
