The Suter Joins Spring Clean Whakatū Nelson!

As spring unfolds in Nelson, a vibrant initiative is taking root: Spring Clean Whakatū Nelson! This exciting community project aims to revitalize the city centre, and The Suter Art Gallery is thrilled to be a part of it.

Our valued partners, Goleman Group, who look after our property maintenance, have generously offered to extend their expertise beyond The Suter's walls. During Spring Clean Whakatū Nelson, they'll be giving our Pastorius Waller Sculpture Walk in the adjoining Queen’s Gardens some extra TLC, free of charge. This beloved outdoor gallery showcases a range of sculptures, and Goleman Group's sprucing up will ensure they shine even brighter against the backdrop of the blossoming spring scenery.

Spring Clean Whakatū Nelson is more than just a cleaning project; it's about creating a sense of community pride and ownership. Businesses throughout the city centre are stepping up, taking on beautification projects in their own areas. From refreshing unused garden spaces to installing exciting new artwork, the collective effort promises a refreshing transformation for Nelson's heart.

Here at The Suter, we believe art enriches our lives, and Spring Clean Whakatū Nelson beautifully embodies this spirit. By collaborating on this initiative, we're not just cleaning up – we're creating a vibrant, welcoming space that reflects the energy and creativity of Nelson.

Want to join the movement? Spring Clean Whakatū Nelson welcomes everyone! Individuals, families, and friend groups can choose from a variety of projects on the What If Whakatū Nelson website (www.whatifnelson.co.nz).

Lend a hand, get involved, and be a part of making Nelson even more beautiful this spring!
