German-Italian documentary examining Renaissance master Botticelli's decade dedicated to painting and drawing hell as the poet Dante described it.

A journey to the underworld through the nine circles of Hell, to reveal the secrets of a work of art which continues to intrigue the world. Shot in exclusive European locations such as the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, the Vatican Library, London, Berlin and the Scottish lowlands, this film delves deeply into Botticelli's legendary painting.
