Celebrating a Year of Artistic Growth: Thank You, NBS!
/As the 2024 academic year comes to a close, we at The Suter Art Gallery are filled with gratitude for the incredible support we received from Nelson Building Society (NBS). Their generous contribution to our scholarship programme has made a profound difference in our community, enabling 11 students from 8 local schools to participate in 38 after-school art classes.
This programme, aimed at making art more accessible, covered the costs of class fees, materials, and travel for the students, ensuring that financial barriers did not hinder their artistic journey. The impact of this initiative has been truly inspiring, as we have witnessed these young artists grow in confidence, creativity, and curiosity.
We are proud to have partnered with NBS, whose commitment to promoting youth well-being through art has opened doors to new possibilities for our students. This collaboration, led by our dedicated educator Dr. Esther McNaughton, has enriched the lives of the scholarship recipients.
We truly appreciate this partnership and commitment to supporting youth well-being through art. Their support has opened doors to new opportunities for our students and has inspired many young artists and art enthusiasts in our community.
Looking forward, we are excited to explore new opportunities for businesses and sponsors to get involved with The Suter and our art programmes. If you or your organisation are interested in supporting art education and making a difference in the lives of young artists, we would love to hear from you. Together, we can continue to inspire creativity and passion for art in our community.
Thank you, NBS, for making a difference in the lives of our young artists.
