"I like that idea of making fun of unease, shrugging it off.  Death...Yeah!!  Demons....Big deal!!! It's a lot of hoo-ha but it's good." Primarily known as a printmaker, Jason Greig’s work is held in public collections including Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, the Hocken Collections, Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū and the Aigantighe Art Gallery.  Greig’s dramatic themes are inspired by heavy metal music, gothic literature, horror cinema and artists such as Francisco Goya and Odilon Redon.     

Dogs and werewolves can appear in his art as a suggestive 'beast within' often heightening the emotional charge of his imagery
