An illustrated talk by renowned landscape photographer Craig Potton MNZM.
Discover the breathtaking beauty of the Southern Alps through the eyes of two artistic masters. Craig Potton and Euan Macleod have collaborated on a stunning new publication, Look Out, capturing the awe-inspiring landscapes and thought-provoking human connection to this iconic region.
Join Craig as he shares stories of their expeditions to Tasman Glacier on Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park. Through his camera lens, Craig captures the vast scale and ever-changing weather, moods and light on the craggy mountain peaks, crevasses, snow slopes and wind-sculpted ice whilst Euan with his paper, brush paints, pencils and crayons sketches and paints. His paintings are often of a solitary figure, climbing, standing on the edge or contemplating this dangerous world of ice, sky and rock. These paintings are as much about this incredible landscape as evocative reflections on the human condition.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to explore the Southern Alps with two of New Zealand's most celebrated artists.
