Join The Suter Art Gallery’s Curator Kyla MacKenzie and Director Julie Catchpole at Richmond Library for another edition of the gallery’s popular How To Look At Art sessions.
Illustrative works by Leo Bensemann, including artist books, a rare book and individual bookplates will be the focus of this session.
Leo Bensemann grew up in Takaka, went to Nelson College and his adult life was spent in Christchurch - where he worked at the Caxton Press, and was also an artist.
How To Look At Art will give you an exciting insight into the broader context of particular artworks and open up a whole new world of art appreciation.
Free to attend. All welcome.
Date: Thursday 24 August
Time: 5.30pm
Where: Richmond Public Library
