James Robinson will share his insights and inspirations behind his piece Ocean in the Drop (Best Apocalypse Ever), a large mixed-media work that combines painting and assemblage. You will learn how he uses chaotic improvisation, recycled materials, and thought drops to create a nuanced colour field painting that reflects his personal journey and artistic evolution.

This is a rare opportunity to hear from one of New Zealand’s most innovative and prolific contemporary artists, whose work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Don’t miss this chance to see his work up close and ask him your questions.
