The Suter Collection
The Suter Art Gallery Te Aratoi o Whakatū boasts an extensive collection of art that spans over two centuries, with pieces that are of immense national and international significance.

One of the highlights of the collection is New Zealand's largest collection of watercolours by John Gully (1819-1888), a renowned nineteenth-century landscape artist. His works provide a unique perspective into the beauty and majesty of the New Zealand landscape during that period.

The Suter Library
Our small but valuable reference library houses a collection of books and materials focused on the history of The Suter Art Gallery, its artworks, and New Zealand art and artists.
