ID Me is an exhibition that investigates concepts of identity in visual art that beyond the portrait.  It is the result of a long term project initiated by The Suter’s Educator, Esther McNaughton in collaboration with regional secondary art teachers.  Early in 2008, Year 10 art classes visited a portrait exhibition at The Suter and later developed their own work which explored different approaches to expressing identity in a range of media

ID Me brings together the work of these students from seven regional schools alongside examples of their visual mentors – established artists whose work was used as a model or works by artists that use similar approaches.  In keeping with the concept of identity, this exhibition presents many perspectives and celebrates the possibilities of visual art, self-expression and media.
