The Suter is very fortunate to be supported by a dedicated group of Volunteers. Our plan is to expand the involvement of Volunteers as an essential part of The Suter Art Gallery experience and we’re currently recruiting for Visitor Hosts. As a trained Visitor Host you will guide visitors through the Gallery’s exhibitions, be able to discuss features of The Suter’s architecture and its rich history, and assist with other gallery activities such as public programmes and exhibition openings. By acting as a Visitor Host you will be interacting with visitors to enhance their experience in the gallery and their enjoyment and understanding of art.

The Suter will provide group training sessions for your ongoing skills and knowledge development. If you would like to be at the forefront of what’s happening in the gallery, enjoy being amongst like-minded people, and having the chance to meet artists, curators and writers, then we want to hear from you. An orientation / training session for new volunteers will be held in the Education Room at The Suter Art Gallery on Friday July 20th, 10 am - 12 noon. At the session you will meet the Director and Curator of the Gallery, key staff members and current Volunteers who will be able to mentor you.
