Architecture Matters

Architecture Matters – a presentation and illustration of architectural projects organised by the Nelson Marlborough Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects as part of the 2017 Festival of Architecture.

Monday 11 September, at 7.30, General admission, free event.

Four speakers will present:  

  • Simon Hardy, from Studio Pacific Architecture will discuss new designs for Nelson Airport.
  • Jeremy Smith from Irving Smith Architects will discuss the design of the Nelson School of Music.
  • Architecture graduate Renee Williamson, from Arthouse Architects, who will present her 10m2 AdAPTA Home solution for affordable and adaptable mini housing.
  • Auckland based Architect Michael O’Sullivan will discuss his approach to architecture in a talk, intriguingly, named ‘Chicken Shit’.
