The Top of the South Film Festival presents the World Premiere of “Bowie” - an independent feature drama shot on location in Nelson that follows a young woman’s experience navigating the frustrations and challenges of motherhood and adolescence. A unique and often humorous perspective of a mother/daughter relationship through the eyes of Lexi’s autistic teenage daughter, Bowie.  Screened at the 2017 Cannes Film Market. Written and co-directed by Nelson native Amanda Phillips. Over 60 local actors and crew were involved in the film’s making.
