The NSAS began as the Bishopdale Sketching Club established in 1889 by Bishop
Suter and friends. Today the Society meets in the Grabham Studio and has its own gallery, the McKee
Room featuring an ongoing programme of exhibitions.
Society members are invited to participate in NSAS Spring and Autumn exhibitions displayed
throughout The Suter.
NSAS offers supporters (general) and working artist memberships, and benefits include exhibiting,
workshops, trips, events and a regular newsletter.
