The Suter runs Ministry of Education
funded school programmes featuring a range of varied learning experiences for students including
hands-on learning activities, and opportunities to respond to the art works on display in a variety
of ways such as art, dance and drama. Schools can take advantage of The Suter’s ever changing
exhibition programme featuring local, national and international shows to support their delivery of
the New Zealand curriculum.
Teachers will be provided with an
education kit featuring a lesson plan, curriculum links, specific learning objectives at the
appropriate level, background information and suggestions for pre and post visit activities back at
school. Lessons can be tailor made for particular needs on request. Our
exhibitions often fit into a variety of syllabus areas and provide an interesting enhancement for
classroom units. We are flexible enough to fit in with your programmes and timetable, and
can cater for groups of all sizes and levels.
