This centennial volume sets The Suter Art Gallery in the context of the wider New Zealand artistic scene and is also a valuable reference work on New Zealand and Nelson art.  It is richly illustrated from the gallery's collection, many of the works being supported with essays contributed by leading art authorities.  It also includes a catalogue of the collection to 1999.
